How to customize Seba FR-liners for RB Twister

Twister have a beautific shell which is quite anatomically moulded. The quality of the material is evidently superb. Hence they are my favourite skates at the moment. The only disadvantage is that Rollerblade is quite incompetent when it comes to spare-parts policy and service.

Things you will need for this kind of capricious adventure:

• a very sharp unused scalpel
• a pair of new Seba FR-liners; according to your skate size; for instance, Twister shell EU 41 = FR-liners EU 41
• a steady hand :]

The FR-liner is composed of five layers. The first layer is a unique fabric, the second is foam, the third is white plastic mainly around the heel and ankle area, the fourth is foam and the last but not least is an interior fabric layer. Due to its more sophisticated padding in comparison to Twister-liner we have to customize the cuff and heel area a little or need a bigger shell e.g. EU 42 = FR-liner EU 41.

Attention please! use the scalpel very carefully to cut out the first layer of fabric and the second layer of foam. Avoid cutting too deep! The white plastic layer around the heel should be remove as well; 'cause it's hard and sticky.

The pictures below reveal, quite marvelous, what area precisely should be removed in order to make the FR-liner fit properly into the Twister shell.

And yes, even after customizing the liners it's absolutely normal that they are still extreme-tight. Roll them and you will break them in.
